Vulnerable Roadway Users in Asheville
Cyclists and pedestrians are two of the most vulnerable roadway user groups in North Carolina and across the nation. Without the added benefit of seat belts and airbags, these two types of roadway users are truly at the mercy of the drivers they share the roads with. Sometimes, it’s not enough to use designated crosswalks or bicycle lanes. With distracted driving on the rise, cyclists, pedestrians and all other safe and law-abiding roadway users are put at risk for being involved in injury-causing or potentially fatal car accidents.
Asheville Bicycle Accident
Even with protective gear like helmets and gloves, cyclists can suffer from severe and even catastrophic injuries when involved in collisions with larger passenger occupant vehicles. It can take time to get back on your feet after a bicycle accident, so it’s important to get in touch with a personal injury attorney after a collision involving a dangerous or negligent driver.
