The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) is currently publicizing their Drive Sober or Get Pulled Over campaign. Additionally, law enforcement agencies in North Carolina and across the nation will be stepping up efforts to catch and deter drunk drivers during the Labor Day weekend. Unfortunately, the Labor Day holiday weekend is frequently associated with a spike in injury causing and fatal crashes involving drunk drivers. According to the NHTSA, during the Labor Day holidays from 2011 to 2015, more than 750 people were killed in drunk driving crashes.

Accidents involving drunk drivers are often devastating for drivers and passengers in other vehicle. Roadways should be safe and free of drunk drivers on holiday weekends and all year long. The team at Davis Law Group, P.A. wishes everybody a Happy and Safe Labor Day weekend.
